"I have known Ron Resch for about 40 years, and first began to appreciate his work through his film "Paper, Sticks & Things." Ron made this film in the 60's by building things, shooting the building process on 16mm film and editing the film in the old fashioned way of gluing pieces of film together.
When I first saw the film, I started looking at the world in a different way. Ron captured the incredible elegant relationships between geometry and the physical world in a way that no one had done before. After 40 years, this film is still fresh, mind-bending, intriguing, and inspirational.
Whenever I meet promising students, I try to arrange for them to see Ron's film. They generally are as "blown away" as I was.
Over Ron's career he has extended his ideas along many new dimensions. It is difficult to describe this remarkable individual in a few sentences. The reader will just have to take the time to examine and appreciate his work on their own. It is well worth the effort."
